An experienced construction professional, Christopher “Chris” McNally currently leads Falcon Enteprises Associates, a New York City-based project quality management firm focusing on the residential construction sector. In addition to his work with Falcon, Chris McNally is a passionate environmentalist who supports non-profit organizations such as Scenic Hudson.
Founded in 1963, for more than 50 years Scenic Hudson has worked to protect the environment of the Hudson River Valley. In addition to maintaining a series of parks that are open to the public throughout the region, the group advocates for legislation and initiatives that will benefit the local residents and the environment.
A recent Scenic Hudson campaign led to good news for Hudson River-area residents when the United States Coast Guard announced it would not pursue a proposed plan that would build 43 anchorages along the river. The proposed anchorages, which would have been used by industrial barges carrying chemicals, were suggested as part of a Coast Guard study examining ways to improve transportation safety and navigation on the river.
As part of the Scenic Hudson campaign, more than 10,000 citizens wrote letters opposing the anchorages. Additionally, government leaders such as Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Governor Andrew Cuomo lent their support for the campaign.
